I’m in the same boat having booked J class in October 2026. Just got the email this morning advising of the change. The email also said to BYO devise for inflight entertainment. There is no way this is an acceptable change and that Etihad can view this product in line with the one I purchased.

This is second sector of a trip MNL-AUH-LIS then FCO-AUH-MNL. I asked for them to change the affected AUH-LIS sector to AUH-LHR so that I can continue to fly on EK mettle and would find my own way to Lisbon from London. They refused to offer this and quoted a change fee of US$2,800 per passenger to facilitate this change. This response is absolutely outrageous.

I’m waiting on a callback from a supervisor and will escalate this further if need be. Really poor service for what I think is a reasonable request 10 months out from travel date.
