It is interesting how YMMV. I love the location. Someone above doesn't like the crazy train station, but we loved having everywhere on a direct line and found the station not a big deal to navigate (especially with google maps which is very good inside the stations), also easy for day trips on JR pass. Also did not mind having to walk a little to where the action is. Loved having the hotel at the station. Bus to airport is genius. Service outstanding. Breakfast for Gold/Diamond excellent. I find the Conrad location a bit out of the way and harder for transit and certainly would not pay the premium to stay there even though I love that hotel. My opinion might change if there for business and depending where my business meetings are. Also, re location, ultimately in Tokyo you can get anywhere you need to get pretty easily by subway, it is just a question of connections and your comfort/desire to deal with them.
