The 2-3-2 on the LH 747 reminds me of an old story about one of my colleagues flying to FRA from Dubai many years ago when the 747 had F upstairs. He was in C and he figured if he dressed nicely he would have a chance of getting upgraded to F. In the Dubai hotel he put on his nicest suit and went for the airport. Not only did the suit not help him because he didn’t get any upgrade despite asking, but he also could only have one of the middle seats in C on the 747. On top of everything he managed to get the suit jacket stuck in the seat so he tore up the damn thing getting out when they got to FRA 😭😭😭
