To me if you only have to achieve net 1k in spend to hit 250k I’d made the push.
I was in a similar situation last year, sub 1k in spend in February on cc and shopping but still felt worthwhile to gain the 250k rewards, then successfully used all 6 SWU’s (175k and 250k) for the family so out of pocket cost was notably lower than had I paid for the upgrades.
