I stay in SYD a lot and rotate between the Hilton, Shangri-La, Hyatt and a few Accor properties as backups. I often find that if the mid-range properties like Hilton & Hyatt are booked heavily and overpriced, the luxe ones like the Shangri-La have a reasonable rate.
