Very true about the window side. This is my first flight using the middle seat, and honestly am a bit intrigued. I figure the night flight is the best time to give it a try. But yes, the window side is my absolute go to seat on JL long haul trips.

And good advice on keeping checking. The system did the auto-assign so I am guessing a number of pax may not even realize yet the aircraft swap has occurred., But once a week or so until then and absolutely at 71h59m before departure.

I'll hope for a window to become available, but my Plan B is also entirely acceptable (for this flight anyway). This aircraft swap and my lack of status painted me into a bit of a corner this time. All part of the travel experience though.Not the first time, and suspect not the last.
