A related question: when travelling for work, my employer would obligate me to buy the lowest fare. What option do I have if I buy a Basic fare? For example, is there a option to buy Basic, and then pay for a seat choice?
If yes, would that price be lower than just buying Choice? Or, is it possible to upgrade a Basic fare to Choice after purchasing? (I could do those upgrades on my own dime)
If you travel enough for work and/or pleasure, consider a WN Priority credit card, the annual fee is offset by points ( especially if timed right as I received 100K points) they give you as part of the sign up bonus.
$229 gives you a seat choice (up to preferred for everyone on your reservation) when booking and ELR (if available) at T-48.
You also get a free bag for everyone on you reservation.
