I experienced the new automated gates yesterday at LGA and I have to say it was pretty cool. TSA Digital ID had probably 30+ people in line, and CLEAR had *none* so I decided to go there. Was pleasantly surprised by the experience - scan my BP entering the lane, then picture at the automated gate, and then directly to the X-Ray machine. No interaction with TSA ID checker at all!

It was about 9 minutes from me stepping out of the car at the curb until I was walking out of the security screening area, and honestly I think 5+ minutes of that was waiting for the TSA automated X-Ray/CT machine.
