They aren't done buying 359s. (or 35Ks)

it is a 76K replacement. That will handle the last of the international 76Ks.

they go to 330s.

little bit of a rant here. FT focuses way too much on seat count and completely ignores operating cost. The 339s operating cost are very comparable to that of a 763. So you are basically paying the same to operate with 60ish "free" seats. Delta doesn't need a like for like replacement.
another thing lost on FTers, Delta started out with much more dense 763s. Over the years things like flat beds, going back to 3 classes, addition of Y+ etc. have all caused the seat count to go lower. this was not ideal.

no. 321 and 737-10 are 753 replacements. Only talking about 16 frames and mostly operated in markets where frequency can be added to supplement. In markets like ATL-Florida where additional frequency isn't really realistic, you will see capacity added over other hubs/cities to help supplement

its not a problem. As I said above, stop focusing so much on like for like seat counts. Operating economics has changed the game.

most importantly the market has already spoken. If a MOM was truly needed and wanted, someone would be building it.

There is a widening hole in the market between the 194-seat narrow bodies and 281+ seat wide bodies as 753s, 767s, and 332s age out.
rumor has it Delta will start modding the 339 once the 359-35H mods are done. I'd bet on the 333 and 339 to end up with the same number of J seats when its all said and done.
