Not had anything like that personally, but I would also be asking if it was a scam, how did they know you were due to fly on those flights? Did they know your PNR or ticket numbers? Have you been posting information on your travel arrangements on public places like the socials, or have left paperwork with that info in places where it could have been intercepted?
No nothing on paper at all and even if I did it wouldn’t have revealed my contact phone number. A few months back I had someone contact me from a hotel I had booked in Switzerland with booking.com. They had somehow managed to take over the hotels booking system, they even managed to send me a message through the Booking.com system but when they started asking for my credit card details I instantly smelt a rat. Some of these scammers can be cunning in the extreme.
Anyway all looks good here in Singapore ,I’m all checked in with window seats. I’m guessing if I’d been as stupid as they hoped I was going to be then at some point they would be requesting my card details. .
