Weather: A low pressure system named Storm Chandra moves north across Ireland with gales and heavy rain to western UK. For Heathrow the main impact will be persistent rain throughout the morning, which will be heavy at times. 15-20mm of rainfall over a 12 hours period could lead to some surface water flooding. Strong SE'ly winds gusting 25-30 KT at first and 3000 FT winds peaking 40-45 KT until mid-morning, then winds become moderate by late morning. Frontal rain clears early afternoon with a moderate SSE'ly wind becoming SSW'ly. Sunny spells will develop, but scattered showers for the afternoon and evening with a Low risk of CB in the LTMA. Mist could form late evening as any cloud breaks begin to develop in-between showers.
