Hallo all.
A quick data point on lounge access under the recent rule changes on status benefits.
Colleague was flying CX from Sydney in November last year. Had the Cathay frequent flyer number on the ticket and had no issues accessing the Qantas F lounge by showing their OWE status from another program.
Colleague tried to do the same thing the following month (December), again flying CX from Sydney, and this time was denied entry. The QF F lounge agent said the frequent flyer number with OWE status needed to be on the boarding pass.
It looks like CX is enforcing its rules at partner lounges as well.
(Apologies if this has already been shared by others elsewhere in the thread and I missed it. The extension of the rule to non-CX lounges seemed interesting to share.)
