For a high spender, the way they set this up (so they can claim, falsely, that they're still rewarding housing payment), may limit your ability, to earn as many Bilt points as you could have if your housing payment were higher.
Would Bilt care at all, if you figure out a way to convince them your housing payment is higher than actual somehow? Yes, they still would, because buying Bilt points with Bilt Cash via housing payments is still significantly better than paying B$200 for the right to earn extra 1x for your next $5k spend.
For BILT 1.0, I have a ACH routing/transit & account number that I instruct my mortgage servicer to pull from. BILT doesn't even have a payment amount because I go in and authorize the payment for a specific amount every month., I wonder if BILT 2.0 can be setup the same way? For Option 1, it doesn't make sense that if your spend falls under 25% of your housing payment, you get only 250 points. But what I can do is direct my mortgage servicer to only draw 25% of whatever I spent on the card for any given month.
