Just woke up to a text from UA about my flight from Zurich being delayed 2.5 hours causing me to miss my connection.
I thought it was pretty slick to show me 3 alternatives. One was Economy and that’s not an option as am booked in Polaris.
Anyway, I chose an option. Got a red warning that it was no longer available. Checked status on FlightAware of both flights and they both showed as viable.
Called and after 20 minutes got a real person saying that the option I wanted was OK! Yay! She wasn’t sure why it didn’t work from my phone.
Understand I still might have issues in EWR.
As a side note, I checked the menu and it had changed to mushroom risotto
and lasagna.
And pizza for breakfast.
Catering is an issue.
****UPDATE!! Checked again and it’s back to the standard chicken, fish, beef . ,
I DID get a meal voucher though!
Moral to the story, don’t trust the tech 100%. So glad I called. Yay humans!!
