I was here last night on a forced overnight. Booked cheapest room (double beds) around 9 pm via phone (app and website not working), then called the hotel while waiting to retrieve our bags from AA to request a king bed. Showed up about 30 minutes later along with a large crowd of AA refugees. The welcome could not have been more gracious - greeted by name by Aurora, who said "we've been waiting for you." Despite the crush of late bookings and an obviously very full hotel, they proactively upgraded us to a junior suite.

I'll second this. I hesitate to mention my suite upgrade rate (in about 10 stays), but it is very high.
+1 - for the US, GH SFO is rather seamless.
