Not a review of any sort, but I was in Marrakesh this past weekend for the marathon and staying at a riad. I checked out this and other properties ahead of an upcoming 4 night stay in September.

The Meridien stood out as the most depressing by far. It is extremely tired, full of construction which looks likely to last for months, and grossly overpriced. Its saving grace is being across the road from Menara Mall, but the downside is a long walk to the old town. At the same price point, going off-brand to the Sofitel or others is a no brainer.
