Do you know this for sure or is this supposition?
your passport is swiped now
The days of going through and just having a look and how ‘ya are gone
i do not know what happens if you just present a drivers license
Even I as an Irish passport holder are now asked where I’m coming from
I passed through Dub immigration at least 50 times last year
By doing it that way ,they are inspecting everyone who may or may not have permission to re enter the UK and sharing that information
Its really an OTT protection of the status of the international land border having no border posts
