They still have 12 more after these, I think it makes sense for QR to have another set of hi-J A350s for a couple of reasons.
1. The Qsuite NextGen will allow them to have 40 seats between door 1 and 2, so they can do a 48J configuration in the same space. With the NPS they have opportunities reconfigure the galley layout and gain more Y seats too.
2. The NPS A35K with its lower empty weights, along with the higher MTOW available compared to QR's earlier deliveries would allow more payload to destinations like LAX, IAH, MIA, DFW, AKL and the Hi-J config is better suited for these destinations.
What do you mean by NPS?
Will these new A350s feature the new Q Suites?

From what I see oin the a350 production list, QR seems to be only expecting 3 a35Ks this year. Their fleet renewal strategy is at a snails pace over the next 2 years as they don't seems to expect deliveries of the 777X and the latter 787 order not at least early 2028.
They do have a 5 or more 787-9s from the current order left-- as well as the A321s.
