Any opinions on how strict the waiver is about buy-by date?

My scheduled travel date falls in the correct range but unfortunately I purchased after Jan 20th, the “buy-by” date.

Itinerary still shows on time but flight was cancelled the last two days.

I would like to move by a day or two but not sure if this is something UA tends to have wiggle room on.
