TG466 MEL-BKK 23Jan 2026 business class: no in-seat power so no IFE and no seat recline. A lot of bs from crew as to why and a lot of talk about compensation - a laughable $200 US was mentioned. Very mediocre considering a 9 hour flight and return fare of A$4600! I have heard nothing further from TG about this. A few hostile fellow passengers put the crew through hell over it. I hope TG do the right thing and at least quickly refund the difference between the economy and business class fare for this sector to avoid reputational damage which will cost the airline a lot more in the long run.

Extremely unlikely (~5%) TG will refund the full difference to an economy fare. More so as a day flight. But would expect some compensation.
Being hostile at crew is useless, They are not aircraft electricians nor can they make decisions on compensation. Way above their pay grade and responsibilities, especially for an Asian culture.
TG reputational damage / cost for this:- NIL. Not that unusual for any airline. Next day people will be booking fares
