AA currently uses a combination of Viasat and Intelsat (formerly GoGo) on it's aircraft. DL also uses a combination of Viasat and Intelsat, but chooses not to offer free wifi on those aircraft that still have Intelsat (most of their aircraft are now equipped with Viasat except the RJs and 717s). Viasat has had deployment delays with it's 3rd generation Viasat-3 satellites and there is currently a gap in coverage over the Pacific.
