As of very recently, it still goes to Chase. Same with Capital One, UBS, and pretty much every other travel rewards credit card. Frankly, I’m not entirely clear on exactly why you want to do this unless it’s to create a credit that you can use directly with Delta. I used to do that with my UBS card (long story on how that little trick worked) but then they changed it, just like Chase.
All that said, if you are booking international Delta flights, you might want to look into doing a miles transfer to Flying Blue, and booking direct though them, but be cautious. You will need to shop for good deals, because they typically aren’t as good as something like Singapore Airlines.
