I am looking to book LHR - AUH in F on A380 using cash, I was informed prior to booking that the cost is £2200 for 1 person and £1700 for 1, why is the cost higher for two people moving from F to Residence? Should it not be lower as I am giving up another seat in F which they can sell?

Party of three, either my wife and kid can have it and I can join in or I can have just for myself.
