Quick post on my EWR PL visit this past week. It's been a long time since I've gone through the EWR PL.

- New dining room, which I had no idea was even coming, is a bit nicer than the previous one. I had no idea only because I don't read the threads about Polaris Lounges with any frequency. One thing I really don't like are the single seats facing the windows. I despise my back facing an entire restaurant. And once a plane parks at C120 you have almost no view which is exactly what happened to me.
- The staff are still as bad as ever. They sat me near the host desk and the manager came over and started chit-chatting with the guy working the desk. Everything seemed good until the manager started ragging on a bunch of employees which got the worker all riled up. Just unprofessional. But after the manager left the worker had to "spread the word" to everybody else who came over to the desk to chit-chat. They must have been bored or something. That got everybody riled up.
- The menu sucked. Quite frankly. Not a single started I would eat and the mains sounded awful too (personal preference, totally get it).
- My burger came out completely wrong. Came out with things I said I wanted none of and extra things I didn't even ask for. Mine came with a fried egg which in and of itself is not a big deal. I tried to take it off but the yolk broke and that was game over for me. I sent it back. And I cringed as I did because I know they're paying the staff there the lowest amount allowed by law (just a guess). The next burger came out with none of what I said I didn't want and some of what I said I did want. They couldn't get anything right. Oh, and the burger patty was clearly fresh out of the freezer and gross. So the poster above me who said they just had their best ever PL burger, I say congrats to you.

Sure, I'm still going to the lounge because it's better than the slop they serve on the plane. But it's gone downhill quickly (as I fully expected).
