I'd say it does matter from this customer's perspective. I avoid connections at EWR like the plague so I'd like to know what the stats are if I exclude the airports I book away from. B6 is largely irrelevant to me because they don't fly the routes I need or want and the routes they do fly are rarely of any interest to me. I enjoyed the one time I flew on B6 but that was a unicorn of an itinerary.
