Yes, I was on a 9h layover in between two Saudia Flights. Was turned away when I tried to get into the lounge as they apparently changed the policy. Syteam elite+ passengers are now only let into the lounge 4 hours prior to departure. Seems contrary to skyteam rules to me.
I wonder if this is some localised improper interpretation and implementation of the new ST lounge access rules for
originating pax. Did you show the staff your inbound flight BP?
Have an upcoming trip FCO-JED-MNL return, both layovers are 6hrs. ST E+ flying business class. I hope, this policy doesn't apply to business class travellers.
FWIW, flew through JED 4x last year, last time in mid November, and had no trouble with lounge access flying in BC. If you booked with SV, you'll get notifications about check-in, lounge invitation, as well as boarding time and onboard internet with the app or SMS.
