Sorry to hear this.
If I was in your position, I would push back and mention that your husband has a disability which causes him to bleed (you are under no obligation to provide evidence such as medical history). In addition, I would mention that their actions are potentially an infringement of Section 19 of the Equality Act 2010 since they are indirectly discriminating against your husband's disability, which is regarded as a protected characteristic.
