A bit surprised this wasn't already a thing from the start or at least when they made it permanent.
I may be misunderstanding but I think this is happening. I have booked a LON/USA return in J with an internal AA flight in J for June26 also with hotel as a BAH. I am receiving 975 bTP plus the full BAH cost in nTP plus the AA mileage as nTP. Quite a haul.
