Currently Delta wants $2,800-3,000 one way on this route which is in line with most airlines whether originating in California or Seattle, so I’m sitting roughly 50% off although I need to slum it in C+ up to Seattle first.

I’ve never seen Taiwan on sale from the US or Canada in business since the old days of the ex-YVR el cheapo J fares before the virus when we regularly flew round trip in business for $1,800-2,200.

After looking at this ticket again, I think snagging PS for $650 made this all work especially as the same cabin more than doubled in price since then, making a similar upgrade offer closer to retail J in total cost.

Or to put it another way, after a few days of reflection, I’m very excited about this deal.
