Inside, I usually keep: a few adhesive bandages of different sizes, some antiseptic wipes, gauze pads, medical tape, a small pair of scissors, tweezers, a couple of painkillers, and antihistamine tablets for unexpected allergic reactions. I also include some blister pads, a couple of sterile gloves, and a small instant cold pack — stuff that covers minor cuts, scrapes, burns, or insect bites.

I’ve been thinking of trimming it down a bit because it can get bulky, but I try to keep the essentials. I think the key is having something lightweight but flexible enough to handle common injuries. How about you? What’s the most unusual thing you’ve included in your kit?

Eye wipes and individual eye drops. I've gotten something in my eye and spent the next hour or more with a red painful eye. The prepackaged eye wipe with the eye drops takes care of this right away.
