Yeah, I always carry a small first aid kit when I travel. I’ve found it really useful, especially on trips where I’m hiking or in places far from pharmacies. Mine isn’t huge — I use a compact, zippered pouch that fits easily into my backpack or day bag.

Inside, I usually keep: a few adhesive bandages of different sizes, some antiseptic wipes, gauze pads, medical tape, a small pair of scissors, tweezers, a couple of painkillers, and antihistamine tablets for unexpected allergic reactions. I also include some blister pads, a couple of sterile gloves, and a small instant cold pack — stuff that covers minor cuts, scrapes, burns, or insect bites.

I’ve been thinking of trimming it down a bit because it can get bulky, but I try to keep the essentials. I think the key is having something lightweight but flexible enough to handle common injuries. How about you? What’s the most unusual thing you’ve included in your kit?
