I didn't see anything either way about signatures in the complaint. Eventually Amex rejected some of the guy's disputes, so I'm guessing that sometimes the shippers were able to establish delivery. I'd be surprised if there weren't signatures for such expensive items, but then again this was McLean, VA, so maybe some shippers didn't require that.
