I took a hotel organised limo and was offered assistance, plus someone walked me to check in. However check in didn't know who I was or how I had arrived, which is unusual in Asia when you're taking their own booked transportation.

That's odd. I've paid the deposit using a credit card on both stays I've had here. Unless you mean if you're using an Apple or Samsung wallet then they only accept debit cards?

Do you have any pictures of the view? I've only had regular Park Suite Deluxe's here and wonderrf whether the Monas View is worth it. After my first stay, the previous front office manager did mention she'd like to upgrade me to a Monas view next time. However, she had left the property before my second stay and I didn't want to push for an upgrade.

There were two pads of A5 hotel notepaper, one next to the bed and one near the telephone in the living area. Both contained a handful of sheets that had my name printed on it. That’s very personalised and quite a nice touch. I don’t recall reading that previously in this thread, so I wonder if others perhaps missed it.
If this was there for me, I didn't notice.

Smoking seems to be permitted everywhere in the hotel, certainly everywhere we visited, except The Dining Room. You can smoke in The Bar, Kita Bar, on the outdoor terraces, on The Veranda and throughout the pool area. To us, that’s a major drawback. One morning at breakfast, smoke from the nearby terrace was noticeable in the restaurant a good 10 metres away.
I was bitten by mosquitos one evening sitting at the (internal) Veranda.
I've had no issues with smoke or mosquitos here.
