There's a good chance you'll land 20min early and skip security on arrival, so you could have plenty of time. In a scenario where say MAN causes a 1hr+ delay, QR have a very slick operation looking after people who they know will miss their flights (particularly when travelling in J). With BKK it's often just a couple of hours wait. If it's much longer they'll ship you off to a comfy hotel.
a few years ago my BKK-DOH flight was quite late ... and by the time we landed in Doha QR had moved me to a later LHR flight ... but I managed to get to the gate in time for my original LHR flight ... and the QR gate staff did actually move me back onto my original flight (after warning me that my hold luggage wouldn't make it)
