Hi all,

Yes we had researched. From my post-flight queries, it seems the infant harness is fairly new and means the infant has to be strapped down in a specific position on the Skycouch, which doesn’t leave any room for the adult to relax too. The box of four seatbelts are also new.

We have flown J several times and (as also mentioned in this thread) having your legs curled is fine and both mother and baby sleep well (we flew J on the other leg of this trip)

We thought the Skycouch option would be a good alternative to try for a short (8 hour) flight but the infant harness and multiple seatbelts made it impossible for my wife and our child to be comfortable.

interestingly, the infant harness is only required after take off. During take off and landing only the looped additional seatbelt is needed (which would have been perfect if that was the case for the entire flight). This doesn’t make sense to me.

It’s a shame because we thought the Skycouch option would be an ideal alternative to J especially when baby is over two and cannot have a J class seat to themself (because they re too small) but can’t share with an adult either.

Perhaps Skycouch would better suit two children or perhaps an older child and adult rather than an infant (because of the infant harness).
