The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 166-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of the Orchard Road shopping district in Singapore. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site The Botanic Gardens has been ranked Asia's top park attraction since 2013. It was declared the inaugural Garden of the Year by the International Garden Tourism Awards in 2012.

The National Orchid Garden, which is located within the main gardens, is at the forefront of Orchid studies and a pioneer in the cultivation of hybrids, complementing the nation's status as a major exporter of cut orchids. Aided by the equatorial climate, it houses the largest orchid collection of 1,200 species and 2,000 hybrids.

Meet at Napier MRT Station at 0700, and we shall have a relaxing stroll around the gardens this morning. We shall end the morning with breakfast at Adam road hawker centres. Shorts and cash necessary.

As one of the world’s Masters of Wine, her influence extends across education, judging, and advocacy, where she has played a defining role in elevating professional tasting standards and mentoring successive generations of wine professionals, particularly in Asia. Her work bridges markets and cultures, helping demystify European wine traditions while giving emerging regions the critical framework they deserve. The achievement is cumulative rather than singular: a career spent reinforcing the idea that credibility in wine comes from rigour, fairness, and context—qualities that continue to quietly shape how the global industry evaluates quality, value, and meaning.

During this session, we will discover a selection of still and sparkling wines, selected from wine lists of top airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Emirates. We shall infuse a little bit of local charm by pairing these wines with exotic, uniquely Singaporean dishes - the heartbeat of the local community.
