IHG is good for japan ( quite a few ANA crowne plazas etc)
I also joined One Harmony ( quite a few hotels in the major tourist destinations split into three brands : Okura, Nikko and JAL city ( JAL city is a more budget/buisness hotel. I stayed at the JAL City yokohama during golden week . Whilst the rooms are more compact , they were ok , breakfast was good and location was close to chinatown). I think they might have fewer hotels than IHG
