I had some significant bumps here (room not ready at the 2 PM check-in despite me emailing with arrival time, room still not ready when asked to return at the quoted time of 3:30, sloppy housekeeping turnaround with no coffee/tea/hotel information having been replenished when I finally got in my room around 3:45, they forgot to print out the letter outlining Ambassador benefits - I had to ask for this myself - no note or gift at any point acknowledging that I am a Diamond Elite member with Ambassador membership).
It's as if they didn't know I was coming and didn't realize I had any status with IHG whatsoever despite pre-arrival emailing back and forth. Certainly no room had been pre-allocated for me.
Also, they did not apply the 20% IHG discount to F&B nor the 600 THB Ambassador credit without me asking them to do so (check your bills if you stay here).
All this seemed like standard operating procedure.
Everything just seemed extremely sloppy for a hotel of this caliber and price point.
I felt relieved, overall, to check out and won’t be returning.
I am unsure if I can recommend it in good faith, particularly in a market such as Bangkok, where the competition is fierce and the sheer number of high-end hotels is vast.
It's no coincidence that this hotel doesn't have the highest ratings on Google or IHG.com .
