Upgrade availability is reflected in the PZ fare class (enable “Expert Mode” to view detailed fare classes). If a flight shows PZ0 on a given day, you will be placed on the upgrade standby list; otherwise, the upgrade typically clears shortly after the request is submitted. To improve your chances of clearing an upgrade, consider purchasing a Premium Economy ticket, which also serves as a solid fallback if the upgrade does not clear.
