Hi everyone, I’m flying from Stockholm to Delhi with Lufthansa. I recently won a bid to upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy.
While I know that bid-upgrades usually keep the original ticket's baggage allowance, my checked-in boarding pass explicitly states an entitlement of 2 X 23 kg bags. I’m a bit confused—can I rely on what is printed on my boarding pass and check in two bags, or should I stick to my original Economy allowance?
I noticed the say issue after after upgrading from premium economy to business in December. Lufthansa warned me that the old baggage rules (2x 23kg) applied, but at the same time their system said that I was allowed to take heavier suitcases (2 x 32 kg) with me. Very annoying.
I never checked which was true because I don't normally put more than 20 kg in a single suitcase. And I could have taken an extra piece as Star Alliance Gold.
