If you make a Hotel Collection reservation today for October and receive your January-June $300 Platinum Credit, but then discover in July that you have to change the reservation's dates, can you just modify the original reservation so as not to have the $300 credit clawed back? Or will you lose it because you must cancel and make a new reservation when it's already the second half of the year. Tried calling AMEX travel and could not get a definitive answer, so if anyone has had a similar situation please share your experience. Thanks.
Based on reports here, some reservations show the option to change dates but others don’t. I’m not sure if the agents can give you a definitive answer which one allows that.
