I’ve recently received an invite for the U.S. Centurion Card and am in the process of deciding whether to proceed. I’ve been a U.S. Platinum holder for a relatively short time (under a year), with annualized spend in the low seven figures, largely steady rather than one-off, and split between international travel and business expenses. Before making a decision, I’m hoping to hear some real-world perspectives from existing Centurion members.
One area I’m particularly interested in is how strong the relationship manager and concierge experience is over time. For those who use it regularly, how effective are they with complex, multi-city international itineraries, especially in Europe, and how well do they handle larger group travel where five or more people are moving together? I’m less interested in simple bookings and more in whether they genuinely take ownership when things become complicated or go wrong.
I’m also curious about the joining fee. I know it’s generally said to be non-negotiable, but after asking the question I was told my request would be reviewed and it wasn’t positioned as a flat no. I’d be interested to know whether anyone here has actually had the initiation fee waived or otherwise accommodated, and if so, what circumstances or relationship factors made the difference.
On the benefits side, I had a few points of confusion. During the benefits walkthrough, Equinox wasn’t mentioned at all, which made me wonder whether that benefit has been removed or simply deprioritized. I’m also trying to clarify the Fine Hotels & Resorts on-property credit, as I had understood Centurion bookings might receive a $300 credit, but most real-world references seem to point to $100 per stay. Any firsthand clarity on that would be appreciated.
Finally, for those who live outside the U.S. but hold U.S.-issued Centurion cards, I’d be interested in how reliable the Centurion travel insurance has been in practice when trips don’t originate in the U.S., assuming the travel is charged to the card.
I’m not looking for qualification advice or marketing summaries, just honest lived experience from people who’ve held the card for a while. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share.
