It does make sense when you think about it. The E175 is stuck on ATG-4. I believe IntelSat said they're shutting down a part of the network. Ground based internet isn't usable for the first and last 10 minutes of a flight, which is proportionately much more of an issue for shorter regional flights than longer ones.

all these types are scheduled to receive starlink STC approval in Q1 2026, so AS should be able to start installing them soon. QR just received EASA approval for their 787-8s
