Well, they also had the (now) ancient ATG4 system from GoGo, you were lucky to sync your e-mail on it. So they needed it the most.

Then there is the problem that the 737-900, 900ER, MAX9, and 787-9 are not approved for Starlink yet, and you could argue that's the bulk of the Alaska fleet. So they are doing what they can.
