but recently, a stay at a hyatt property deposited 500 miles into my UA frequent flyer account, instead of me getting the full points i deserved on Hyatt account

how do i avoid situation like this in future? when i log into my Hyatt account, i cannot find a place where i can uncheck this option or remove my UA FF account number
