I have stayed here enough times already that I probably don’t need to write a full review - but I’ll provide some assorted thoughts, and of course, a new photo set:
  • I was actually upgraded to a Corner Suite this time - nice views and the extra space is nice
  • Bed is still comfortable - plush mattress, covers aren’t thick but do have some weight, larger pillows are plush - I would like to see them upgrade to current Westin bedding at some point
  • Shower pressure is good but the shower head is oddly small
  • Was able to get requested 3 PM late checkout
  • Shuttle to JR Osaka Sakurabashi Gate every 30 minutes from 10 to 6
  • Breakfast (not a welcome gift choice - given automatically) in Amadeus hasn’t changed much - still have truffle omelets (looks like everyone orders those), still have French toast, still have fried chicken - for those inclined for “Mexican” food, they have a taco station - they’ll do iced coffees, if you ask me

As for the lounge, I found it a bit more frustrating this time on my Sunday night stay. Tea time is advertised as 3 to 5 - I went up at 3:30 and was told there were no seats and that it would be a 30 minute wait. I came back up at 4 and was told it would be 20 more minutes as there were four parties ahead of me. They told me they would call my room when ready for me (they may have said this earlier and I may have missed it). At 4:30 as I was heading out the door to go back up there and inquire as to the status of my table, they called. The desserts are good - enjoyed my scone, tiramisu, cheesecake, and financier. I went back up at 6:30 to check out what they were offering for cocktail time (advertised as 6 to 8), and they were still setting it up. They said the wait for a table would be an hour and they would call my room - I ended up just going out and likely missed their call. I’m not sure what was going on here - they need to either make the lounge bigger (they haven’t renovated the lounge floor) or better advertise set sessions with a reservation mechanism. When I checked out, the agent did proactively apologize for the “wait” yesterday at the lounge, so they must have noted something to the desk.

I would still come back here. At this point, it’s a bit of a tradition.
