"Airline chicken or airline chicken breast is a cut of chicken composed of the boneless chicken breast with the drumette attached. The breast is skin-on, and the first wing joint and tendon are attached while the rest of the breast is boneless. The cut is intended to contribute to the presentation of the final dish by providing visual interest."

The shrimp appetizer and salad were surprisingly good. They salad, appetizer, and bread were served on a single black plastic tray with a white cloth (nothing premium here), with a single set of cutlery (fork, spoon, knife). When I was done, the FA removed everything, including my uneaten roll. In retrospect, I will thank her for saving me the unnecessary carbs. For the main, I pre-ordered the Airline Chicken Breast. It looked like a normal chicken breast and seemed to be missing the "confit garlic chili butter." While bland, unlike my last Polaris entree (halibut) it was not grievously overcooked and at least crossed the threshold to "edible." The sides (carrots and zuccini plus potatoes) were mushy. I didn't bother with the potatoes.

For breakfast I had the souffle pancake. It was two normal pancakes in a pool of lemon flavored sauce. Not bad. The breakfast pastry seemed to be an apple danish. It was flaky and pretty tasty.

Overall, this was better than my last couple Polaris meals but still very far from what it could/should be.
Just landed from HKG-LAX. Food was actually decent...not premium but definitely edible.

The "airline chicken" entree I was served was boneless, and actually moist. One of the better meals from United I have had in a long time. The garlic cloves were a nice touch. Veg side was mush though.

Mid flight tapas (Dan Dan Noodle) was served immediately upon request. Very obvious it had been sitting in an oven or something. A lot of the noodles were dried out / crunchy and stuck to the bowl.

Arrival meal again one of my better of late. Eggs and sausage were moist and plentiful.

Service was mostly ok. As soon as I boarded (literally, I was putting my roller board in the bin) the FA was asking about my meal choice. Only thing on offer pre-departure was sparkling wine. When I asked about an ice water, I was told I had a bottle of water at my seat.
After that rocky start, things got better.
