But given how far T7/T8 is, even if the tunnel was still functional all the way, it would still be quite a hike and not the most direct route with lots of going up escalators and going down again.
Yes, I think perhaps it not the best use of time - my arrival and departure, if going for the return flight via LAX is only 3.5 hours. I'm guessing baggage claim and immigrations, and translocating to the upstairs departure area alone would take over an hour.
