Yes, it’s a lovely lounge with terrace, showers, nice bar, decent food. Star Alliance access for departure only, so if your departing flight is on UA or AC, plan for a 30-min. walk from TBIT to T6, T7 or T8. Entire walk is behind security (unless there’s a construction snafu now?) - gotta stay alert with the signage. LAX UC is adjacent / much closer to UA/AC gates, outside terrace, nice cash bar, okay food, no showers. One of the best UC in the United States!

Yes, but after you arrive TBIT, you must reclear security.
