Just attempted a same day standby (for tomorrow morning) but confused why a confirmed change isn’t available. Ticketed XN. New flight (departs about 4 hours earlier) shows XN9 on expert mode. Now on the standby list it shows my fare class as “Y” instead of XN. Any idea why that doesn’t qualify? Will I have to wait til I’m at the gate or is there a chance it auto clears after midnight? Two flights in question are MCO-CLE Jan 12. Trying to move from the PM to the AM flight. Tried chatting but got the “only the gate agent can help you” lingo.
